Would you hide a dead body to save yourself?

The movie Very Bad Things got me thinking. If you were in a situation where you were engaged in reckless behavior with a close group of friends and someone accidentally killed a stranger in a place where there were no other witnesses around and confessing it to the police would ruin at least one of your lives and cause major problems for all of you if the whole truth were exposed, would you quietly dispose of the body and never speak of it again or do you think you would have to go to the police?

If it was really an accident like in the movie, it would suck a metric ton of arse, but you gotta go to the cops. If someone disagrees, they just 100% became an intentional criminal and not an accidental one. I would not be dagged down with them personally.

There is a pretty high possibility that one person in the group would get scared and go to the police, thus fricking the rest of the group.
