Could you imagine the number of welfare dependent, growing up to be democrat voting babies born every day if abortion was illegal????

If you’ve heard of Freakonomics, you know this one. In 1994, when the crime rate started to drop, a child born in 1973 was 21 — and a child who wasn’t born in 1973, because the mother got a newly legal abortion after Roe v. Wade, was one fewer 21-year-old in the population. It’s a very appealing argument to people who hate obvious answers. It’s also, interestingly, one of the few theories on this list with strong empirical support from other countries: Studies as far away as Romania have found the same effect.

I was heavily involved with a girl after coming home from serving in the Navy. She confessed to having an abortion a year into the relationship. It ended quickly after that. She's a barren 50 year old now, and I have my soul mate and a future engineer grad from Auburn. Gut instincts worked out.

But why does everyone have to conform to your beliefs? As I said, I wouldn’t do it, but why should I force my beliefs on someone else and tell them they can’t.

Why stop at abortion? Can I force my beliefs on murder, rape, or theft on others?

The difference in your example is you’re harming someone who is born.

Now, we can debate whether or not the unborn has the same rights, but that’s not the point of the initial argument since at this current time, they do not and abortion is legal.

Typically it’s the ones that boast the most about their high moral standards and are most judgmental that are hiding the biggest secrets.

This is a weird post. The Bible doesn't rank sins - they are all equal. Would you ever date someone that drove drunk? Had a one night stand? Committed adultery? Lied? Stolen? Used drugs? Been arrested?

You're reading the Bible wrong.

The problem is they are virtue signaling when it comes to “unborn babies and murder!”

I'd bet that you have dated at least 1, unless you've dated an uncommonly low number of women.

I am perhaps the most pro-life person on this board.

I say that to answer this question as maybe. What was the situation of the abortion? How long ago? How much did she understand?

Many young women/girls get abortions out of ignorance. I wouldn't hold that scenario against them.

Why do these alters/new random posters always show up in an election year? Likely a bot or Fed. Ignore this poster.

Could you imagine what the world would be like if people didn’t stick a dick in or allow a dick to be stuck in you unless you’re ready to raise a baby with them?

Committed adultery?

Hard to imagine a bigger red flag. "Oh, sure I cheated on my first husband but you can totally trust me not to do it again!"

Sucker bet.

Nobody is talking about ranking sins.

I’ll have a beer with a dude who cheated on his taxes or has a few speeding tickets. I’m not going to have a beer with somebody that beat their wife or murdered somebody.

Sin is sin, but acting like sin doesn’t have varying consequences is insane.
