I suppose but I think they looked much better with the signature flying buttresses and real knock off wire wheels. I'd also make sure I was good friends with a mechanic named Nigel. There is a reason so many of these cars are "LOW MILEAGE."

Interesting, just looked it up the XK inline 6 was the same motor used in the XK120-150, XKE's and even into early XJS's with varying developments and displacements. I didn't realize Jaguar produced that engine that long.

Friend has an old carburetor V-12 XKE. Ever try to find a mechanic that even knows what a carburetor is? :-)

Absolutely .. Great engine, tried and true. The I6 is torquey and silky smooth, the V12 is problematic.
