I have a chance to purchase a used Ford F150 FX2 in really good condition shape except for the fact it has 190,000 highway miles. This is a company truck from one of our salesmen who commuted 150 miles a day so I know it has never been wrecked or had any repairs other than basic maintenance. I can get it "cheap" but the values is all over the place if you look online at NADA or KBB. (It is loaded with leather, SYNC and many extras options etc..)

1) Would you buy a used truck w 190K Miles?
2) If so, how much would you pay for it

With maintenance records, I'd consider it. But I probably wouldn't pull the trigger unless it was an absurd deal, like less than $10k. Which engine?

No. I would never own a 2wd truck unless its a classic.

I wouldn't buy anything with 190K already on it.

Just traded in a 2010 F150 4x4 5.4 V8 Engine with 205K miles for 6K. If I would have opted to sell I would of asked Blue Book Value of $7500

If he was driving really fast that’s only 95,000 Miles.

what engine and how has it been maintained? My dad put well over 200k on a 2002 f-150 with the small v8 and was still going strong when he sold it. for what it is worth I think they gave him 2,000 for it when he traded it in, so the 13 may not be worth much.

More worn out than a two cent hooker. My truck is an '07 and it has 217k miles.

It has the 5.0L FFV engine, luxury package and the list price was originally $43,895. We have had no problems with the truck and the miles is Baton Rouge to Lafayette every 5 days a week....

That many miles, probably not. I've got a 2013 fx2 ecoboost with 80k on it and love it.

I have all maintenance records. KBB says it value os $6300 and NADA says $9475. I may offer $6000 and see what they say as they want to to unload it to me or a wholesaler.

Note I dont need it but it be nice to have a 3rd vehicle that is a truck

Not sure what guides you're looking at. NADA has rough trade in at $16,500. Retail over $23k.

ETA: The downvotes are funny.

Here's the NADA value after removing a couple options the truck in questions has.

quote:

Rough Trade-In

Base Price $20,175
Mileage (190,000) -$6,225
Total Base $13,950
Options $1,950
Price w/Options $15,900

Average Trade-In
Base Price $21,850
Mileage (190,000) -$6,225
Total Base $15,625
Options $1,950
Price w/Options $17,575

Clean Trade-In

Base Price $23,225
Mileage (190,000) -$6,225
Total Base $17,000
Options $1,950
Price w/Options $18,950

Clean Retail
Base Price $26,925
Mileage (190,000) -$6,225
Total Base $20,700
Options $2,225
Price w/Options $22,925

I'd offer 5k. Run it for a few years and call it a win
