Yeah I thought my OP clearly stated it’s his money and I don’t care what he did with it.

It’s more so the way he handled it by telling my wife one thing and doing another. If he would’ve just said he’s closing the account, I wouldn’t care at all. He presented it to her as if he was going to give her all the money, and he didn’t. It’s just the lie aspect of it that makes me feel weird, don’t care about the money.

To others who have said not to make a big deal out of it, I’m not. I don’t plan on ever saying anything to him about it, it’s not really a big deal. It’s just weird to me that he would misrepresent the situation.

You are (presumably) fricking his daughter. If anyone has a right to be irked at someone, it should be him at you. You owe him $200 if she is decent in the sack.

I don't think having access to it allows him to close it. I would also think that the check would be issued in her name if his name is not also on the account. He'll have to forge her signature to get it into his account, would he not?

His money
