Roundabouts are great in theory and great where the demographics allow it. But in places like Rayvegas, the dumbass demographics still haven't figured out the one we've had for 4 years. It's a shitshow.

I would rather they replace four way stops than traffic lights. In some cases I would rather a traffic circle such as Highland and Pecue. The occasional round about doesn't bother me but in I'm not a big fan of going through several of them in series.

I would much rather well synchronized traffic lights but that's obviously an unrealistic expectation despite throwing millions at it over the past 20 years. So I guess traffic circles it is.

Will never happen in most Louisiana except for a fewer higher income towns. Most of the boomers and karens throw a fit when they install one.

Absolutely this. I was a little dubious of the efficiency when roundabouts on 190/Juban were proposed, but last week I left Juban Crossing at 4:30 and literally did not stop until Range at 190.

Every light? No. Many? Yes.

Conway Arkansas is the worst. It might not be so bad, but drivers are not the brightest there.

The Villages has more roundabouts than stoplights by a lot. The stoplights are on the state highways that cut through, but when major roads within The Villages intersect, it is always a roundabout. The only real issue is with people that enter a roundabout from the right lane and stay in the circle to the 3rd exit. People that go straight through that enter from the left lane have to dodge those knuckleheads constantly.

Lots of info out there on how it has improved things. Reduced crashes by something like 80%.

Crashes go up.
Fatalities go down.

Less risk of a Tbone collision.
