Would Paris be a good travel bet in 2016?

I need to plan a big anniversary trip with the missus.
I'm thinking it will be on lockdown, and probably safer for tourists than ever. Also likely that tourism will be down, making it less expensive. So instead of avoiding it, I'm thinking it might be a good choice.
Does the defense's theory hold water?

I would go. Less crowded and cheaper I'd guess.
Of course if you're killed in a terrorist attack you may change your mind.

Me and the wife are going so I hope so. I'm not sure how soon I wanna book flights just in case it gets worse but I'm still on board with the trip.

France is the most touristed country in the world. I don't think the attacks will change that.

I would still go. I doubt that there will be that much of a price savings, but it is a very cool city and it is a safer bet than many other cities even in the US.

Not sure if you heard but euro Disney shut down like a decade ago. No real reason to go to Paris anymore.

We did Paris for a few nights, then took the train to Dijon. Rented a car there then stayed at B&Bs there and down through Provence to the coast. Then drove back to Dijon and trained it back to Paris...where we got a nice hotel and celebrated our tenth. Seriously good time.

I think the biggest factor is gonna be your wife's opinion on this. If she is the type to be overly paranoid and be looking for terrorists on every street corner while yall are there....maybe you might want to pick a different vacation spot.
But if she thinks like you on this....I say go for it.

Prices may be slightly lower and even if you know with 100% certainty that ISIS is planning an attack the night of your visit, the chances are absolutely outstanding that you'll be perfectly fine. Keep in mind that they killed around 150 - out of several million. You'd have to be incredibly unlucky.
That said, if you know with 100% certainty that an attack is planned for that night, I hope that multiple intelligence agencies will be aggressively "interviewing" you.
