Someone was murdered there so yes, trashy. Would you want someone taking a picture at the place your family member was murdered? This idea reminds me of the girl that took the smiling selfie at Auschwitz.
hey Texas boy, you ever been to the Alamo? I bet you got your picture taken there didn't ya?
I understand your point, but lets face it, a lot and I mean a lot of tourist destinations are places where people were killed, either by murder, battle, terrorists, etc. So what are you going to do? Seriously, there's a gift shop at the 9/11 WTC site. they call it a "museum store", but lets call a spade a spade, it's a freaking gift shop.

Trashy? Why would it be trashy to go see something you're interested in? In fact, when I go next weekend, I might want to take a trip out there myself.

You haven't seen the Evolution Peptides thread huh?
ETA: I'd stop in at Avery's

Please take the time to explain what "inconsistent" means.

Quite frankly I wish OP would return with pics just show how many other people will be there snapping pics.

Wasn't it more likely that the murder took place elsewhere but Detective Link (sp?) orchestrated the moving of her remains to the Avery salvage yard?

We are staying in that town. Closest place we could find to Green Bay.
I'm definitely going.
*I may solve the whole thing while I'm there.

He did confess but that was obviously not what happened. None of the evidence supported it and the nephew was being told what to say by the detectives. I'm not 100% sure what happened but I know the nephew did not kill her in the house.

maybe she was killed in the garage. I realize they talked about lack of evidence and all but he was convicted and we were watching a biased view of the trial.

No, I was just saying she wasn't killed or burned on that property. Whether he did it somewhere else is anyone's guess, but her ashes were brought to his burn pile and there wasn't a drop of blood in the house or garage.

I am not convinced of that. I think we saw a biased portrayal of the evidence...wouldn't have been much of a show "documentary" if they supplied all the facts
Posted on 8/18/16 at 10:05 am to Topwater Trout
Wouldn't be having people having their convictions overturned if it was only a biased show.

Yes, it was biased and probably important to question things as you are doing. They did make an attempt to show that it couldn't have happened in the garage (which I believed based on the way it was presented).
While the documentary didn't focus too much on the victim's personal life, I recall that she had a long-time boyfriend that she had recently broken up with and also a male 'friend' that was her roommate.
While complete speculation on my part, I think something happened to her with either her ex or roommate. Then, Detective Link finds her body in her car and decides to move it to the Avery yard to halt the lawsuit that would have resulted in many millions being paid to Steven Avery (which was not covered by insurance and would have to be paid personally).
Another possibility is that one of the detectives personally killed the victim. When you add up all of the other sketchy things that are mostly proven, it seems possible.
I'll accept down votes by comparing this entire situation to the BLM movement. I think BLM should focus more on the criminal justice system than the very small percentage of bad cops. When a town wants to 'solve' a crime to make themselves look good and put the community at ease, they will often do whatever it takes to manufacture evidence against whoever is closest to the situation (even if they don't fully believe that person did it).
