Would it be possible to have a scorpion boil?

It might be hard for people in Arizona, New Mexico, and West Texas to have a crawfish boil since they don’t have much access to crawfish. They do have lots of scorpions though.
Is the scorpion exoskeleton strong enough to hold up to boiling hot water? We can do it with shrimp, so I would think the scorpion exoskeleton would be strong enough. Perhaps the venom in the scorpions would be a problem though. Is there a way to remove the glands?
The only other question is do you dust them with Tony Chachere’s and mustard after the boil?

You eat a boiled venomous scorpion first and if you're still good after 36 hours, I may try one.

How many pots have you smoked today?

You people down there will eat anything.

A condom could've prevented this post.

Not worth it. Picking each section of the tail will take longer than eating 25 crawfish and yield less meat.

I can direct you to a mesa in sw Utah that was crawling with the things several decades ago.

So, what do they taste like? Due to their evolution from the sea, their meat tastes similar to prawns. Some say the taste resembles licorice without the sweetness or even dark chocolate. The dehydrated version has a jerky-like texture and is very nutritious. Every part of the scorpion is edible, but we recommend removing the pincers because they are tough. We also recommend removing the venom bulb. The meaty torso is the best-tasting part. The scorpions are hygienically processed in our HACCP accredited factory. They are flash frozen, cleaned, and boiled. After boiling they are machine dehydrated for more than 24 hours. Their shelf-life is more than one year.

Ingesting venom is generally safe, it usually needs to hit the blood stream to be toxic. Poisonous shite is what will harm you if ingested.

I’ve seen people on survival TV shows chop the tail off and eat them.
Try it and report back.

I think they are too small to be worthwhile.

Almost everything tastes like chicken. But not eggs, ironically.

Shrimp and Crawfish use their for locomotion, a scorpion does not. They won't have meat worth obtaining.
