Would people save a lot of their money by going back to using horses, to get from point A to point B? Or are people saving a lot of their money by going with today's automobiles?

To upkeep a horse vs to upkeep a car. To fuel a horse with horse food vs to fuel a car with gas. You be the judge of which is least stressful to maintain.

No. Time is worth FAR more than I spend on transportation. Horses are shitty to upkeep as well. Plus my horse wont last as long as my car either.

Would a log cabin built by hand be cheaper than your house?

What about washing clothes by hand then hanging them out to dry?

Raising your own livestock and crops to eat?

Are you actually under the impression that we switched from horses to vehicles because it was cheaper?

Horses are expensive. Vet bills, immunizations, winter feed when the grass dies, fencing, saddles, shoes, ect don 't come cheap

10 hour trips to new Orleans in 95 degree heat would be awesome. I'd probably smell as bad as my horse

I'm not riding a horse over the Mississippi River bridge. Or through the ghetto on highland.

You also have to look at the time investment, which is far more valuable than the monetary part.

On the other hand, if you do put gas in a horse it will end up dead

But car assout in snow. And they can just not even start when it is cold out. Dog and cat owners should have no stress in keeping a horse alive and well. Plus dealing with drivers license, plates, tags, etc. can be a pain. And you are more likely to die in a car accident than having an accident where you fall off a horse.

And speeding tickets are only for automobile drivers, not horse riders.

and where are you going to keep your horse? You can't put them in the back yard of your town house. they need slightly more room.
