If it's Possible, they will build it in Dubai,Qatar, or UAE.

I believe Cowboys Stadium covers over 70 acres, and was said to have the largest span in an arch supported building ever built. I guess you could put two structures like that side by side and make it work.

The way that I play golf, I rarely play from the nice manicured grass anyway, so playing off of an artificial surface would probably be a huge upgrade!

It would be a major task but I think its a billion dollar idea.

You do know that a "billion dollar idea" means it will make a billion dollars, not cost a billion, right?

The $/round would have to be outrageous in order to make it feasible. Think about how massive of a structure you're talking about, then think about the building cost and the cost to keep it operating (utilities, etc.). And then, in order to get people to pay the ridiculous green fees, it'd have to be super-fancy. Otherwise, they'd just wait until it stops raining.

No shite. The cost to play will be as much as it would cost to fly to a desert climate in the US like Phoenix or Las Vegas and play a heavily irrigated course. OP is dum.

How about we build it under water? I mean, if we're just spit balling here. Plenty of room

The Cowboys Stadium site covers 73 total acres and the overall site encompasses approximately 140 total acres.

The stadium itself is approximately 3 million square feet containing 104 million cubic feet of volume.

like regional airport huge

Way larger than that.

Average golf course needs to be like 6,500 yards if it wants to be anything close to competitive.

That's 19,500 ft. or roughly 3.7 miles just in length.

Then it would have to be 50 yards wide and 100 yards high on every hole at least.

That would be MASSIVE.

About 10-15 years ago there was a casino project in Tunica, MS that was in the concept stages of a property that was boasting an 18 hole indoor golf course under a massive bubble. Also under the bubble was an indoor mall and a snow skiing slope with lift. I lost the information I had on it, but at one time they had a web site with concept drawings of what the project would look like. It never got off the ground, but it was an amazing idea.

The indoor golf course idea doesn't seem feasible from an investment standpoint.
