Is that a decimal or a comma? I can't tell. And who would walk around with a thousand pennies?

Customers of stores that don’t have cash registers and that don’t charge sales tax.

Correct me if wrong, but remember when Wendy’s 1/3 lb burger failed because people thought the 1/4 lb from McDonalds was bigger?

I’ll correct myself. A quick Google search revealed it was A&W. And also McDonalds themselves tried a 1/3 lb, but failed because people thought the 1/4 lb was bigger

Lesson learned for the marketing majors I guess. Don't rely on people that eat fast food to be able to do fractions

Guess it’s how you define greater.

1 or 1,000 pennies suck. I’d rather $10 in any other form. So I’d consider it greater. Doesn’t change the fact this is all fictional.

The hidden part is that if this gets discussed or if they whine about it on Reddit, the excuses will come out.

It might be from really really wanting the job so they were nervous or they might have been triggered by a perceived micro aggression.

But it’s always an excuse that is some flavor of about why the misalignment between their perceived value and attempts to discuss/quantify them is unfair.

It really really sucks to be a manager now a days.

My favorite time was being brought to HR in response of an internal candidate lodging a formal complaint that I discriminated against her, and the reason why I didn’t promote her was because she was a female.

She fit in the above mode, with the extra winner of “you have to pay me what I’m worth to see what I am capable of doing.”

I just blinked in disbelief at HR at the accusation.

“You are aware that I’ve already hired for the role, and she will s the same gender as the complainant.”

“Yes but we still need to respect the employees feelings, so here is your required training……”

Needless to say I didn’t stay there for much longer.

My buddy owns a BBQ place in a rural part of Alabama just outside of Bham. He has a similar questionnaire that he hands out to prospective employees. Think he rejects like 70% of all applicants based off the test. Oh, and all those people vote.

I mean it was clearly posted on the internet to show how stupid current applicants are, so it's only fair to point out that whoever created/posted the application isn't too bright themselves.

Yeah, cause there never BS on the internet...

Even if it's BS it's still meant to show how stupid current applicants are.....

Hence OP stating: is this worth $15 an hour?

With the 1/3 vs 1/4 thing, I don’t know the validity of the story but I’ve heard that there was a restaurant (Burger King maybe?) that came out with a 1/3 pounder to compete with the McDonald’s 1/4 pounder but it didn’t sell well because people thought 1/3 was smaller.

It was A&W.

Most hilarious part is it not only happened, but it scored higher in taste tests and was cheaper even in absolute terms. (Not per oz)

So better quality, and more of it, for less, and it failed because the average American is a fricking idiot.
