I fractured L4 & L5 jumping off a cliff into a river. Yeah, I did not clear the bank far enough. As soon as my arse hit the bottom I thought I was paralyzed. That was 20+ years ago, and I still have pain every day, but not like that actual accident.

Same. Scared the shite out of me. My cousin and best friend wheeled the boat around and we're laughing because it was a good spill. I said "frick you, I'm hurt." They pulled me into the boat, but it took a minute or two to feel my legs again.

Ran over my big toe with a lawn mower when I was about 12. Cut about 1/3 of my big toe off. Had to walk home halfway around the block. Mom took me to the doctor and got it all sawn up. I had about ten lawns a week to cut and my dad had to fill in for me while I healed up. Lawn mowers used to be really dangerous. They still are, but back in those days, if you let go of the handle, it would self propel until someone caught it.

Had two fractured ribs. Was doing OK, then I sneezed! Worse pain ever. Thought I was going to black out. My wife said I became very pale. Went for X-rays, the fractured ribs were now broken. When I sneezed apparently both ribs snapped.
I’ve had broken bones before, nothing like this. Couldn’t take deep breaths.

Hemorrhoids and there isn't a close second for me. Thankfully it's been about 5 years since then, but frick that.
Just such a core pain that you can't get away from. And you know it's only gonna get worse if you eat and, well... And you can only sit in a warm bath for so long.
Then the knowing it's going to last 4 or 5 days regardless of what you do while you're pacing on night two is just awful.
I straight up threatened to call an ambulance the last time!

Many of you have had much more difficult injuries than me but I have two times. Once when I was in my early twenties, I had pain in my abdomen that hurt so bad that I had to throw up. Never went in for it and I still don't know what that was or why.
Secondly, I threw my back out recently warming up for a golf round. I got "stuck" in many places including trying to get off of the couch. I battled that for 5 days before I finally got a miracle shot of toradol. Getting old sucks
