What’s the absolute worst stretch of road in Louisiana that would test any vehicle’s suspension?

Was driving in New Orleans over the weekend meeting some friends at a place I’d not been to and letting GPS take me, and I encountered the absolute worst road I’ve ever traversed near Audubon Park with near 5 foot swells and pot holes that would swallow a small car. UNREAL...I’ve been on some pretty atrocious roads in this state, but that was the worst Ive encountered, and people actually live on it, and it got me to think maybe I’ve not seen the worst.

What’s the worst you’ve seen?

LA-463 from Hineston to Pitkin

It's curvy, narrow, pot holes everywhere, steep drops off on both sides with no shoulder and zero lighting

Its awful, especially at night

Which is crazy because I10 is federal. You would think both would be treated the same. I'm sure our a-hole politicians pissed people off over the years and that's why we're ignored.

The section of I-20 from Louisiana Downs heading West just past Independence Stadium is the worst stretch of highway in America.

Agreed on Audubon Park area. There’s more potholes than actual usable road there

I'm sure they got some Federal funding and it went into someone's pockets.

Even though the source of the money is federal, the states are the ones who actually design and build them. Each state has its own methods to create roads that meet the federal interstate specs. Allegedly, Louisiana resurfaces its highways just as often, but utilizes a thinner road base and has far less suitable soil that shifts and subsides over time.

It's only an 11 minute stretch in the area of the ROM yard, but yeah, that part is bad. Wife hates it when I take that route.

The correct answer is HWY 190 from BR to I-49

If you ever need a tooth pulled, save yourself some $$$ and just drive that road as it will shake all your teeth out of your dome.
