There are homeless people everywhere around there. They trash up the green areas around that underpass. I saw some group cleaning it up last weekend. Trashy was already everywhere a few days later.

i think that was Matt Watson cleaning it up.

But you are correct, the Sherwood exit is terrible.

Or the Alamo Motel

My wife told me that when she was little and they did livestock shows they would sometimes stay in the Alamo.
She said it was barely one notch above sleeping in a ditch.

I can't imagine staying in that place. I'd rather sleep in my truck.

No one has mentioned Belle of Baton Rouge. That place is a real dump.

Probably that shithole on the frontage road off Siegen next to the interstate near the Bethany crosses. It has been a hub of human trafficking and all sorts of fricked up repugnant shite for years.

I had some friends that lived there and off of GSRI in the mid 90s.

Back in the day some of our lower hands would stay at the Shades when we had work going on down that way. From the tales of crab filled bedding, stabbings, car jackings and crack whores that they would tell it sounded like a dreadful place. But yet they continued to stay there, so I guess it had its charm.

If I did decide to sleep there, no way I'd get between the sheets.

I always bring a bottle of bleach for the shower or tub regardless of where I stay including a Marriot.

The Staring Motel ain't really a motel, wink-wink. My vote is Alamo Plaza on Florida Blvd.

Well, this was a fun thread.

Nah. Alamo Plaza is way worse. Staring Motel is off the path and serves a purpose for drugs and prostitution. Alamo is where the transients and nutjobs go and pay weekly. They shite in the beds and on the sidewalks and are downright nasty. I know this from personal experience(a distant family member).

On second thought if it’s right next to splash, god knows what goes on over there.

The owner is on site and keeps them MFers in check. They do Shady shite there but it's not in plain site and they don't cause any trouble in the parking lot.
