I would venture to say that most people in Texas and Louisiana know where the Hill Country is.
Anywhere it's hilly???

There is more wine produced in The Hill
Country than any other part of the country besides Napa Valley.

I’m going on the boat on Lake Travis again this weekend so I’m not complaining about the extended season. Get a pool and enjoy life my dude

It's turning into a damn desert here. A desert with mosquitoes. It makes no sense.
I read somewhere that the drier west is spreading eastward. So, central Texas is supposedly getting more and more like west Texas.

I like Leakey, Tarpley, Vanderpool, Utopia, Camp Wood down to Concan. More impressive hills and fewer transplants, present company excepted of course.

I'm the same. Been in Houston for 15+ years and its complete bullshite. I don't expect a boston like fall but fricking temps in the upper 70s would be nice. Couple it with the no rain and not even a fricking cloud in sight for the last 6 weeks, its been brutal.

The weather here is nothing but high pressure systems that may move for a few days and then they park right back on Texas. I fricking hate it.

Ouachita mountains here. The fall color is brown. Everything is dead. The dust is blinding with the slightest breeze. All the nutrients in the soil has blown away leaving nothing but sand. I may not make it to winter my dearest Margaret.

Lol...it for real is like that outside now. I have scorpions coming out of the forest to drink water from the a/c runoff.

I was just out there a couple of weeks ago. Hiked up Enchanted Rock at 3pm when it was 91, no biggie. Never saw a mosquito the 5 days we were there and we were outside a lot on a ranch and sat outside every night. I agree with you on the allergies but that is the case regardless of the temps.
