Worst countries to be locked up in?

Any Central America country. Brazil wouldn’t be too fun, I bet. Russia would be less than ideal

Gonna skip the usual suspects and say something like Eritrea, Djibouti, or Papua New Guinea.

Im not sure what would be worse. A place like N. Korea, or Russia's infamous Black Dolphin. Those places are sanctioned by the government to psychologically and/or physically break you.

However, places like Venezuela have zero state control and the prison is run by lawless gangs. You turn down the wrong hall and you are just dead or beaten within an inch of your life.

Tough call.

This has never been an issue in my life. I wonder what I'm missing out on.

Any country that has a less than favorable view of the United States.

North Korea is probably pretty bad.

Just listened to a book called Cocaine Diaries about an Irish guy who was smuggling coke and got locked up in Venezuela for two years.

Very interesting book, that experience sounded like hell on earth.
