I love the lafayette airport. Park 50 feet from the door, and show up 30 min before your flight. It doesn't get any better than that.
exactly

KC does have a god awful airport. I had a terrible experience dropping my rental car off at the San Antonio airport, so ill go with that one.

Memphis is the ugliest/dirtiest, LAX the most poorly run

I almost forgot Sacramento would suck horribly if your flight was delayed. I don't remember seeing any places to eat or drink in it. However it was extremely quick and easy to get out of so not bad for final destination.

I have only been to a handful of airports, and havent stayed in any long enough to make a generalization.
Although the most memorable has to be arriving at Montego Bay. It was my first time being out of country, and it felt like an episode of locked up abroad.
No windows, cold, dimly lit hallways, gun muzzles flying in every direction...
I had no idea there was civilization above until we departed home a week later.

Lots of good choices here, but I think Rio is the worst I've been to. No idea how they plan to upgrade it to be more functional for the World Cup and Olympics.
Am I correct in remembering that to go between concourses in Seattle you have to go through security, even just changing planes?

DFW. What. A. Clusterfrick. Whoever designed the layout of that monstrosity needs to be shot in the face. It takes forever to use that stupid skylink thing. In ATL you can go from A to T in the time it takes Skylink to go from A to B. Its also a clusterfrick to drive through. The way you have to drop people off by gate number is dumb as hell especially because gates are always changing.
New Orleans is definitely the most disgusting airport I've ever been through.

HOU is great these days if flying Southwest. I can leave the office downtown 30 minutes before my flight is scheduled for takeoff and make it w/ time to spare.

Dulles, specifically coming through customs, is the absolute worst. It's slow, crowded, and unforgiving. Even once you get through to the domestic terminals it's not much better.

I'm sitting in the airport in Kansas City,
Went through KC airport a couple of weeks ago. It is a bizarre layout for sure.

EWR is my least favorite of the airports. Flew in on Friday and it took probably 2 hours from the time my plane landed until I was in my Manhattan apartment. And I took a cab from Penn Station to my apt too. Baggage claim and the NJ transit was unbelievably sold

The Mayor Mayo Municipal International Airport of Monroe.... he's dumping millions into crop duster hanger and people still won't use it....he has continued to line his pockets and turned Monroe citizens against each other

Atlanta is a very impressive airport when you consider the volume of traffic going through that place. Even during the busiest of times, security isn't that bad. Transportation between terminals is easy unless you're going from the end of one terminal to the end of another. I'll never forget having to make it from E30 to A1 in <15 minutes because of a gate change. Overall, ATL is a pretty decent place to fly through.

Overall, I dont think ATL is too bad especially compared to where I am currently. But this has happened to me more than I care to count there.

I've flown into and out of Houston, Nola, Dallas, Atlanta, lagaurdia, JFK, slt lake city, Monroe, Br, Alexandria, ohare, midway, Memphis, St. Louis, cincy, and Nashville.
They are all pretty much the same.
I prefer the smaller ones.
Alexandria is easy as pie.
