I mean, if you just want to ignore the fact that a pedestrian was just killed and this dude wants to ignore what they are telling him.
No one in traffic knew what had happened. Golfers were told they can still get in. They have special markings on their vehicles to give them access. They are trying to get to work on time. Kind of a big deal in that moment for them. It’s dark and light rain. Officer is wearing a giant rain coat, maybe looks like a security guard. Other golfers made the same move as sheffler driving around the traffic the exact same way.
This officer totally overreacted. Complete dumbass.

Where do you work that people are dying at the entrance everyday?

Really odd I'm not seeing anybody saying he should've complied.

So Darlington says in this clip that they were allowing players & coaches into Valhalla & no one else. Important detail to me. Not like Scottie was just blowing by everyone being like “do you know who I am”. Police department has some headaches coming.
it's hysterical how this played out. the ONE guy they happened to arrest wasn't Ben Kohles or Keith Mitchell, it was Scottie fricking Scheffler

Because he didn’t try to fight a cop?

misunderstanding with traffic flow

quote:
Scheffler was trying to drive around the crash scene on a median. A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but Scheffler continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance.
quote:
At one point, an officer attached himself to the side of Scheffler's car. Scheffler stopped his car as he turned into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club. After about 20 to 30 seconds, Scheffler rolled down his window to talk to the officer. The officer grabbed Scheffler's arm to pull him out of the vehicle, according to Darlington.

They just said on the ESPN+ broadcast that he was in a courtesy car (obviously) and the two ESPN guys were right behind and saw the whole thing happen. The cop asked them if they knew who the guy was. The cops didn't know when they grabbed him.

He did. He stopped his car. He got out of the vehicle when the officer told him to. He allowed the officer to push him against the vehicle and cuff him. No reports of Scottie trying to fight the officer. Or run away.

Some have. I’m guessing you haven’t read much background though.

Some really low IQ posters

quote:everyone reports being waved thru. And the charged Scheffler with a felony because a cop decided to jump on his car. Hell some of the guys reportedly had to walk over a mile to get to the gate. This was not a damn surprise to the police that players were trying to get into the damn course

Is this what gets conservatives to realize we need cop reform?
Well I knew we needed that.
I didn’t need to wash the feet of a black drug addict to figure that out.
Did you know that criminals are assholes and so are rich athletes?

You know the mayor had to be on the phone imploring the jail to process him immediately. What a PR disaster.
Rusty Hardin and Tony Buzbee are on their way to Kentucky right now.

A felony. Jesus. Doubling down

So its kind of big deal for them to play golf, but its not a big deal that there's a dead dude in the road?

From the limited information it seems like he never rolled his window down and they didnt know who he was. So they tried to stop him and he didnt stop.

Come on bro, stop acting like you know 100% what went down.. none of us have seen video of the confrontation.. i tend to take whatever side the cops are NOT on in these scenarios , but no one knows exactly what transpired .

Boot lickers gonna boot lick. Sounds like the cop got his feelings hurt and made an example of someone. So stupid

I don’t follow golf, but I wonder if he thought the police and traffic cones were just because a pga event was going on at that club and being a player he was ok to go through.
