Is there an easier job out there? Seatbelt and 02 demo and pass out drinks. Dealing with the public seems to be the hardest part of this job and also boredom. But I would love to fly at a moment notice all over the country. I think it would have been fun for awhile in my younger years.

Anybody here ever work as one?

Highly unlikely, but knowing your plane could go down at anytime would have to suck..

that houston to lafayette flight 6 times a day will wear on you eventually. especially with all the dumb fat rednecks you have to tolerate

Dealing with assholes all day would probably get old fast. In addition to having to spend large amounts of time in shitty places.

I'm not sure that you see much other than the general, disrespectful, morbidly obese public, airports, and cheap motels.

Yep. Seeing shitty airport hotels. Dealing with assholes all day and the pay is shite.

Hanging out in the airport doesn’t count?

Many of them are stuck on the same routes every day actually. Some even get stuck on regional connecting flights making the same route a few times per day.

Standing and walking up and down the aisles of an aircraft at the beck and call of the dregs of society for like 12 hrs a day seems pretty shitty.

Of course, all of my flight attendants are well taken care of and absolutely adore me and my staff.

You could get drunk with the pilot in between flights. That would be cool, assuming he picks up the tab

Being a traveling RN would be better. Pick your city and have time to enjoy it plus good pay.

Being a stuartist sounds miserable, nothing more than a waitress in a tin can.

i don’t think that’s how it works, it’s more like back and forth from Atlanta 3 times a day
