You can see a ladder to the left of the red tarp in the picture. Look in the area directly above the ladder right in the middle of the picture from top to bottom. Legs. They're bent at the knees hanging down.

Look up @julesbentley on twitter (as pointed out by another poster) and zoom in on the red circle.

New Orleans is a third world nightmare but that is part of it’s charm

Are there two bodies in the red circle?

I haven’t read through 9 pages but it’s my understanding that the city asked the victims family if they wanted them to cut off the legs so they would have something to bury. You can’t make this shite up.

holy shite I’m not even joking, but on my
iPhone, when I zoom alllll the way in right below where it says 399 DECK (below the Preston Rentals sign), I swear I see a face in between the slabs of concrete

So if they can get on the structure to lay and apparently secure a tarp over a dead body yet they could not retrieve said body.
This is an absolute shitshow and I just can’t understand how this is allowed. If JBE would be worth a shite he would take this over and allow the demo to proceed. This is not a terribly hard project.

Lotta hate for New Orleans.
Zero for the developer(s) that caused this catastrophe.

Did you see the legs? Seriously? If you did you can’t be that stupid to not understand that. The body is stuck in what looks like a huge pastrami sandwich of layers of concrete and rebar.
I don’t know what the answer is or how they will ever recover the body. But the idea that covering the body was just as difficult as pulling the body out is incredibly ignorant and quite laughable.

Welcome to the city of yes!!!
Unless its getting decaying corpses out of a collapsed construction site that should have been demoed 3 months ago, then were the city of no!!!

I haven’t but apparently they could get the legs.
My point is no way in hell is this as difficult as they proclaim. Not recovering the body but the complete demo.

How many years of engineering/architecture/demolition experience do you have?
None? Cool. Save the outrage for something you understand

When they implode that building they'll spend a month digging through the debris to find the grease spot that will be this guys remains.

did you retards ever consider that the families don't want their relative's legs cut off with a sawzall?
he's smashed between like 6 layers of concrete and y'all are like "well just go pull him out."
