Did they ever get that poor woman stuck on the swing on Bourbon Street?
Passed there for years and them legs were always swinging in the same place.

Most of the ones I know would probably volunteer to do that for the victims family without being paid.

Exactly.

Yes, they would have. Nothing else would happen within a city block if this happened 30 years ago till those remains were recovered.
This is inexcusable.

How is it possible they can put a tarp up, but not get a body out? That's terrible.

I’m not quite sure what’s lazier, a tarp over a dead body or an orange cone in a pothole.

Both quintessentially N’Awlins.

The body is that of the man engaged to the NOPD staffer. Nola politics said that they could cut off his legs so that she’d have something to bury if she wanted.

So all pictures around that day had a tarp over body?

Seeing how uncovered body pictures have been pushed across internet I am just surprised tarp picture with explanation was not pushed back in October. Before today I thought body was completely covered by debris day of collapse (unless crane take down exposed body more).

Unless It's not same side as pictures I am thinking about - Close to ones below, but there were several similar at different angles on same day of collapse or the day after.

Edit: It looks like victim covered by purple construction debris initially in pictures taken day off or day(s) after collapse (like above) which must have fallen down at some point and then tarp put up.

Why do you think they would have treated this situation any differently if it happened in 1989?

Doubtful.

Dont know of any that zoomed in to see the guy. Could very well be below rubble there. That pic appears to be before they blew the cranes.

Well, since the cranes are in the pic, I think you are on to something there, Lt. Columbo.

I took several pics beside the building early December and see two big red tarps in this exact location.
