Yeah, the husband is worried about the wrong thing. He should be worried about her coming home alive, not about her possibly cheating.

WTF does that have to do with traveling together?

This seems a bit more like the exception and not the rule.

That's fine as well. Because that's the part that matters. That's what you do when you are in a good relationship.
Agree with you unequivocally. My point was, men always think about it. If you would have ever given the ol' wink wink, it probably would've happened. But I'm just generalizing, I don't know either of you.

I'd never say another word to her except for work related items. She would no longer exist. No "hello" in the morning, no small talk, nothing.
But that's just me and my overreactionary a-hole self would do.

Lotta angles to go off of on this one. On the one hand, if y'all aren't on the same flight or in the same hotel, that feels about as good as boundaries get.
With regards to the husband being insecure, maybe they just have boundaries in their marriage
. I do know of many a men who have entered a situation with the mindset of "idk what the big deal is, I'd never cheat or do something stupid like frick a coworker" only to inevitably follow it up with an "I fricked up" post. Famous last words of many men, "I can handle it, it won't happen to me."
A third possible dynamic; She comes onto you because she is a cheating hoebag, you deny her and suddenly she, out of spite, comes up with a "he harrassed me sexually while on a conference trip" and now you have a he said she said. You may even win that case but it would be a headache nonetheless.
Idk, maybe I've just worked around too many women in my life, I don't ever, EVER go around women when there aren't multiple pairs of eyes. Too many good dudes I know have been fricked "not literally" by crazy lying women.

I guess if your wife is on Tinder you should be worried? I’m not sure where they are going.

Husband is acting like she has poor impulse control
Posted on 3/8/23 at 10:55 am to TomJoadGhost
Ignore her. There's a 75% chance she'll be insulted you don't want her and throw herself at you.

Seems like the bitch arse husband has OP beat in the panties twisted department. If you are that nervous your wife is going to cheat with a coworker on a work trip then your marriage sucks.

Who the frick eats at Chilis, in Chicago, on the company dime?

I go on work trips that include women all the time, both coworkers and clients. Alcohol is involved almost every single time. You can tell the females that cross the line and the ones that never would. Husband sounds insecure, but also could understand why he does not feel comfortable with his wife traveling alone with another man.
Seems like the solution to take a different flight and stay at a separate hotel is to appease the husband…but if she’s gonna cheat, that solution does not help it at all.
I agree with the other poster though, I am never the last male drinking with a female (except if it’s at a dinner table at a restaurant), that is just a stupid overall situation to put yourself in regardless of the intentions.

She just came by my office and this is partially true. She asked which flight I was on Monday so I assumed she was booking the same flight, but she just said that flight was booked so she’s on one an hour or two later. Her excuse for the hotel is I’m at a Hilton and she’s a Marriott person. She also mentioned her husband not being happy she’s going on the trip, but didn’t say it was because of me. She just left it open ended. I told her I had plans every night we are there already, but told her which booths to hit to get dinner invites.

But you can jump in your private jet and fly over there anytime you want.

Oh and I just looked and my flight isn’t booked. Plenty of seats still available.

Just remember baw.
At any point after you slip her the pickle and things go south, she can claim sexual harassment and get you fired then take your job.
Cold shower is the answer my man.
