My wife doesn't cook, but keeps the house clean while working a full time job. I'm terrible at cleaning, but do 99% of the cooking. We balance each other out pretty well.

I do not expect a woman to clean up after me or cook for me. I am more than capable.

The quickest way out the door with me is for a woman to expect me to do that for her.

Once I get to the point of seeing her sit on her arse while I do the cooking and cleaning, Bye Felicia.

And no "Just tell me if you need help" only makes it worse. You ain't blind, You see what I see. Get your lazy arse off my couch and out of my house.

And yes, this attitude has become rampant in the last 20 years.

My wife makes enough money to have a housekeeper come to the house to cook and clean every day, and she contributes heavily to our retirement and ongoing expenses. It's really the best scenario.

I only need a woman for the companionship only a woman can provide. I can skin a buck, run a trot line, cook, clean etc. Can’t replace a real woman. I don’t think I would ever be into the sex doll robot thing.

You can thank feminism for that. Somehow being able to cook and do housework makes you a victim of the patriarchy.

When did it change from this into that?

i'm sure this applies to some (esp the wives who don't work and don't clean/cook), but i imagine it has more to do with manufactured stress that modern, working woman seems to create. most women i know own way too much stuff and are just constantly reshuffling the junk pile while they pick a new project (every week or so). add his on top of inability to compartmentalize and it's just a mess when it comes to budgeting time for day to day stuff
this is absolutely spot on with the early to mid 20s girls I know. They're always way too stressed out by their easy job and they're always buying nonsense.

My wife is okay at cooking. I'm much much better so I cook 99% of the time. I can only eat so much baked unseasoned chicken with frozen vegetables.

I do the dishes because I'm anal about them. The maid cleans the house.

If she doesn’t cook or clean than don’t marry her. Stick and move. I dated a woman with big tits and she was filthy in every way from the bed to the week old dirty dishes in the sink. When the smell from the kitchen runs a man away from big tits it’s time to move on.

Basic cooking skills are also basic economics. I have friends, some with kids some without that eat every single meal out. 3 meals a day and have not much more than a pop tart in the house.

Add those numbers up.

I have some that their house looks like a dumpster. Just don’t know how some live like that.
