Apparently it’s a big thing. I’m single and even if asked I’m not sending one.
I wouldn’t want anything to do with a woman who asked that of me. I also don’t ask for nudes the other way though.

Never sent a dick pic, but I used to tease them by asking if they wanted to see what's "inside these grey sweatpants"...they always said yes, so I'd send a picture of the bulge...my wallet made in my pocket.

Thats ridiculous. The entire generality of sharing explicit photos are all int he context of the person sharing them, who they are sharing them with and their relationship. Lumping all into one category "in general" is lazy and entirely too broad of a brush.
The specifics, in this instance and ALL instances, aren't just important, it's the MOST important detail.
