Oh yeah, you definitely live on the west side. This dead centers about 95% of the young women over here. Of course they want to do this about a year out of high school. Its like that's the penultimate accomplishment- marrying some dude and spitting out some pups before they are 23.

Sets up a nice divorce at around 27-28.

I went to this "wedding" where 3 chicks that were in their early 30s and spinsters had a mock wedding with some guys from an acting agency

A part of me thinks there's no way this is true. The other part of me isn't surprised at all. Girls are coo coo for cocoa puffs.

sidebar: kinda genius on the guys acting as the groom. getting paid to fake a wedding and consummate the marriage?

This has the most truth for me. It sounds so juvenile to say "my boyfriend", and so gay to say "my partner".

I love man friend. It was how we referred to my grandmother's 90 year old beau in the retirement community.

I. dunno. I had little to no interest in planning a wedding, but I wanted to be married to my husband and have children. That was almost 20 years ago, though. I don't know how much women have changed.

What’s wrong with that? Hell, I want a pretty big wedding. Sounds like a whole lot more fun than a small wedding.

What I never will understand is that when you make a comment about someone getting married too young most people’s rebuttal is “everyone is different” but when this said couple gets a divorce they say “we were way too young to get married” It’s exasperating.

No, but it's easier to throw a fun party with more money

More people can go. Food and booze is better. Bands are better than DJs. Cool venues are better than shitty, plain ballrooms.

If you put out for him enough after you get a ring he'll let you have your big wedding.

That’s what I meant by big wedding. Should’ve clarified that more. I wanna party at the reception and I want all the guests to have a good time and it not be some stuffy, uptight affair.
