As a dad of two young T swift fans, I can say that the secondary ticket market needs a makeover. It’s ridiculous.

Taylor Swift is selling the tickets far below market value or there wouldn’t be a secondary market.

Not to mention its record year for conventions, Halloween, Mardi Gras is late this year with French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest waiting in the wings. Nola will break records the next 9 months

Perfect case scenario for the city

Seeing the Swifties take over Bourbon Street singing in large groups in videos online is brining so much joy to my heart.

Did you donate profit to the Trump campaign?

It’s her money and since she made triple the money back on the tickets she’s able take the girls to see gorge straight in Vegas . Money covered 6 flights , rooms for 4 days and 6 tickets .

I read Ticket Master and Capital One dropped tickets day of concert in Miami last min. So, tell her to keep an eye out on these sites. Someone I know got tic via a recent Cap One drop bc as of several months ago she didn’t have one. My daughter and friends are going. They got lucky and were able to get VIP tics 1st lottery. Downtown is insane already near the dome with the selling of “merch.” I laughed when my daughter went yesterday to get a sweatshirt, and said “you mean souvenirs”? I suppose “merch” is the new lingo.

Wish NOPD would make themselves useful and stand on Canal in the evenings to direct traffic through the lights and side streets bc those lights haven’t been synchronized in months and cause a cluster F at rush hour.

I understand wanting to make your kids happy but this just seems like giving them false hope for no reason

the hopes of tickets dropping in price right after the concert starts. Apparently this is a thing for all of her concerts.

That’s true for every single event, concert, sports game

You can snag some great deals on stubhub at the last minute, Done it plenty.

Obviously you haven’t tried to buy tickets at time of sale. Almost immediately there is a resell market on Ticketmaster. Bots are buying tickets and immediately reselling. Ticketmaster gets fees on each transaction. So they are not only selling the first ticket with fees, they are selling the second and third ticket with fees.

It may be capitalism, but it is also slimy as frick.

There are plenty of slimy ways to make money but this isn’t one of them. It’s supply and demand, basic economics.

Yeah, Ticketmaster isn’t capitalism. I’m all for supply and demand, but that’s not how they actually operate. frick that entire company.

Its kind of refreshing to see Bourbon street so wholesome. People are walking around and saying it's the safest they've ever felt there and it's the cleanest it's ever looked. What's wrong with that for one weekend.

Get over it.

I got my haircut yesterday and the woman who did it said New Orleans was the worst place she’s ever been. She said it smelled awful and she felt unsafe the entire time.

To be fair I told her that she made a huge mistake staying in the quarter, but she wasn’t wrong.
