They'll give her $100,000 and a few buckets of popcorn and send her packing

I really hate people like this. 99% of people would find it a thrill to have a foul ball hit in their direction and now some dumb bit tried to ruin it for everyone.

Not all parts of the park are protected by glass. Just because this part was at one time protected, does put the club on the hook. If she was hit by any area never protected by glass, would you think she had a case?

I'll wait to see the outcome of the case before I decide IWHI or IWNHI.

She was probably on Facebook on her phone doing an Itworks live show and wasn’t paying attention

They've since expanded the netting behind home plate to go down the first and third base lines much further than they used to.
I think every ballpark has done this.

I think she should file suit against the pitcher too. I mean........he threw the ball. if he doesn't throw the ball at that spot, Ortiz doesn't hit it through the hole. also....she should file suit against the team who drafted the pitcher. if they don't draft him, he doesn't start that night. what else? can there possibly something else that this bitch can get?

She just has that look about her that says she's a total bitch.

I think it surprises me to this day that anyone can say with a straight face that being hit with a foul ball is worth $9.5 million. I'm not saying she doesn't have a case if they took protection down during construction but where does a number like that even come from?
SOP for this type of case. You sue for a lot and hope they settle for something a lot smaller.

a pretty insignificant point trying to be made. Winning 4 million, 3 million in her pocket is still a huge win.

Why so much? I could see something but 9.5 million? Why?

A lot of states have a rule that you have to make a demand in your Complaint for a certain number (Louisiana is not one of those states). If you don't ask for it you can't get it.

Why?
so the courts make sure that ballparks take proper safety measurements to protect their fans.
