In the article it says "racist workplace dresscode." Is that really racist?
Just went back and read the "cultural" head wraps, but still. I've seen women wear their hair in a bandanna regardless of race. Understand it may be more popular in black communities but feel like the media is grasping on this one.

quote:bullshite. I dont believe a single thing she has to say. I worked at a no dress-code policy office. I guarantee you this shithead had her titties and gross arse hanging all over this place, but she only tells facebook about her "ponytail."
Except she followed them

Feel like a lot of posters are commenting without reading. Boss is a bitch....I support her attire.
I have a sneaking suspicion that we are receiving a very one sided story on this

Hopefully, this isn't her career job and she doesn't plan on using them as a reference moving forward.
Also, when future potential employers google her and find this they will label her as a trouble maker and toss her resume.

After she filed a complaint with human resources and even the EEOC? I think not. And less they really want to have to pay her extra money And fines
You are, unfortunately, correct. Her boss fricked up by (allegedly) subjectively applying the original dress code. Which gave her an easy opening to file the complaint.
You can't fire her, but you can amend the dress code again until she's not in compliance, and then take steps to terminate her.
But I assure you that they will be TRYING to find a legitimate reason to fire her from this point on. As they should.

Did you really have a problem with what she was wearing?
Posted on 7/27/16 at 3:40 pm to LSUTANGERINE
Let's take her word for it that her boss was being awful. What we have now isn't helping her career at all, which is what she should be most concerned about. It can be humorous from the outside, but it may not work so well for her.
My wife had someone who put in her two weeks before Halloween, so they showed up to work in costume every day leading up to it. Unprofessional? Yes. Funny? Yes. Good idea in the long run? Probably not.

Sounds like she was at first.
Where are the selfies of her wearing the attire she was reprimanded for?

If her boss is a bitch, and don't pretend bosses can't be bitches, her coworkers probably love her for this.

Probably not. Most people who have problems with these or similar type situations believe that people should bend over and take it from authority figures

Until her antics turn their office into a professional dress code environment.
Policies are created for the lowest common denominator, which is her in this case.

I'm a little curious if she looked as professional as the article makes it sound and it was only an issue with her ponytail. It feels like we're only getting one side of the story.

she can quit

frick her. If she doesn't like her boss then quit.
I wouldn't hire this attention whore. I hope future employers catch wind of this so they don't make the same mistake her current employer did.
