I think he is in the wrong in this situation, but it has nothing to do with his personal beliefs. You don't gun someone down when they are running away, that's why we have police.
But people who want to put his head on a spike because of his flag is an issue. We should want people like this man to live out loud. You push ideologies in the dark and they don't go away, they fester along with similar ideologies. They fester and grow. People on his block KNOW that he identifies as a Nazi and they can possibly have conversations with him about it. We want those conversations to happen.
The nazis are/were hateful, hateful people with an ideology that caused pain for an entire race of people. And this man seemed to keep to himself for the most part according to his neighbors. His beliefs are his beliefs, and in America we don't put limitations on beliefs/freedoms of speech if they don't harm others. Full stop.
People who think this man should be punished in an extraordinary manner because he held antiquated, abhorrent (my opinion) beliefs are the same people who will say that George Floyd's past has no bearing on what the police officer did. Which it doesn't.

I feel like lessons were learned for all parties involved. If the woman survives she'll know better not to wander into someone's yard on a dare to steal someone's property - no matter how controversial. Her friends will know never to do something like that again, as they could get someone killed in the process. And the Nazi a-hole will go to trial and likely be put in prison for shooting a fleeing individual who had already dropped his property and left his yard.

I agree, which is why it's a crime to take someone else's property. But using deadly force to defend your property is a much more serious crime. You can fight to get your property back, and you can prosecute someone for taking it, but you cannot use deadly force.
Seriously how fricking hard is that to comprehend? This isn't even a "left" or "right" issue, it is universally codified in the laws of every state.

So, you and I make money hand over fist, we lose some no big deal, it happens every day, right? Someone else is living at best day to day and someone tries to take their stuff. no rich people here, just people that need it to survive. What say you, let them go and have the fam w/o or actually keep what you earned? Show us your colors.

This literally has nothing to do with the fact that using deadly force to protect property is a crime. In every state. It's universally understood to be illegal.
I'm simply pointing out to all of the people who here who say things like "Yeah! Don't do shite won't be no shite!" that that's not at all how the law works, no matter how much they want it to.

If I catch someone trying to steal from me, I'll do my damndest to catch them and I will call the police and file a report. And I'll be angry if they aren't caught. OK. I am through winding on you. I understand it is illegal to shoot her for stealing. If it was legal, stealing would drop off to almost nothing.
