So many things wrong with this question that have absolutely nothing to do with what happened here.
1. The Nazis home was not broken into. Larceny and burglary are not the same thing. At all. Please go study the difference between chattels, real property, and domiciles.
2. I never said stealing was ok, or that I’d be fine with it. I’m not fine with a neighbor stealing my WiFi, but shooting at them wouldn’t be a proportionate response.
3. There are ways of handling theft aside from attempted murder.
