My only point is....if that was an unexpected crowd of a majority of non-white people that did that yesterday and stormed the Capitol(which again...is MUCH different than looting a Target or taking over a police station..which all are horrible...you are committing an act of insurrection when you are forcing your way into the Capitol like that...no matter what group you represent) the security response would have been much different.
I mean...they always have armed protection. Like someone else mentioned...if a group of Muslims did that...I would imagine lots of shooting before they were able to even get inside.
Thing you don’t know this at all. It’s complete conjecture from you yet you’re using it as talking point. People brought up the summer riots because armed cops were directly targeted in some instances. Police stations filled with armed cops were attacked. Yet nothing much came of it.

Most of what i have seen (and not proactively searching social media) are pointing out the hypocrisy of liberals, media, and certain posters towards blm’s summer of love and antifada’s 4 year violent resistance not actually defending actions yesterday. Some are doing it in a manner to troll some liberals commenting that now all of sudden are outraged and showing disdain for things they never cared about in past or done sarcastically enough where out of context could look like defending but really hasn’t been. Again not going out and wasting time searching hashtags or whatever just going by what i have seen.
I am sure both are happening, but some here & elsewhere are only seeing it all as defending yesterday due to politics or just their own need to feel superior to deal with personal shortcomings in life.

Why isnt it okay to condemn BOTH cases? Do you HAVE to side with one, just to try to complete the fricked up whataboutism?

I’m condemning both sides. I think those rioters are idiots.
That’s not my argument. My argument was saying one side has privilege and the other doesn’t is based on absolutely nothing.

The left will love this because they killed a domestic enemy

Out of curiosity, what made her a bitch, in your opinion?

There are people, aka the poli board, who legitimately believe this site is filled with lefties

But you've repeatedly asked about it, like it has some level of relevance. Why? A bank employee could easily open the door for me to enter the bank, but the moment I try to breach the vault, I'd expect to be shot

The average poster here couldn't even describe or define their ideology. The very average American follows the media, they believe anything they're told.

Because I'm curious.
If she was led in there, unarmed, my guess is she may have thought (quite wrong) that she could go wherever she wanted.

I don’t disagree but this site is not filled with lefties. People don’t have to be able to describe their ideology to be able to know where they stand. Reddit and Twitter are leftist. This site is the opposite.

You hear that OT?
You're not smart enough to know your own political ideology. Because Elitist Roger says you can't.
Holy hypocrisy.

Obtuse made the best post about all this earlier
I think this is probably the most accurate description of what happened
quote:
This may have actually lead to her ill-fated choice. They had basically been allowed in and to walk around with seemingly little attempt to get them out. While the officer and possibly other LEOs on the other side of the barricaded door may have seen it as "the line" she apparently saw it as just another hallway to walk down. I think it is clear there would be a doorway or point where the interlopers would have been stopped by any means possible, they were not going to let them walk up and say hi to Pence, etc.
The officer by himself or via orders had decided that door was the line that changed the ROE. I think it is clear she didn't not recognize that. In my mind, she made a poor decision but if the line hadn't been there it seems likely the group would have continued closer and closer to the inner sanctum until the either recognized the line or someone made the same mistake. Right or wrong if I am the one guy at that roadblock with the weight of protecting the VP and the entire legislative branch behind me I may have made the same choice. It is a horrible outcome but it may have prevented an even larger scale tragedy.

You consistently act like you're in the smartest guy in the room and that the majority of the OT is beneath you.
Please spare us.

I literally just said the same shite about him in another thread

One thing that is not conjecture that you can look back at and see is the security presence BEFORE various events took place. For many marches, rallies, protests, the National Guard was mobilized before the event. For others, a higher security presence was in place before the event. For example, there are images of the National Guard on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in full military gear during the BLM protests this past summer. DC did have some violence and looting, so I'm not fully criticizing that presence. Where was that yesterday? INsurrection and Civil War talk was VERY prevalent on Parler and right-wing discussion boards(even on the Election Board here) in the days and weeks leading up to yesterday. You can't tell me various law enforcement agencies didn't know there was potential for a violent outbreak yesterday. Yet, the Capitol Building was inadequately protected, and there was no National Guard presence anywhere. And it took hours for them to get there once the Capital was ambushed.
