Was it a chicken coop? There's like 20 boards in that pile.

Pre-demo pics revealed

The strangest part of that article is that AOL still exists.

Someone should have razed the issue before it went too far.

ETA: The homeowner needs to raze hell.

The Lifetime movie will be called Razed and Confused.

Ok, I'm done.

The contractor:

"He said, 'Well, I want to see a permit or something' and the guy pulled it out and said, 'Oh, I'm at the wrong address,' and he just packs everything up and leaves. And the house is just ... gone," Hodgson told FOX5.

Old saying: You can't go home applies here.

That’s a win for her. She’s about to get a brand new house.

She’s golden. Got a dump demolished for free and they will have pay her for a brand new house.

thats not how it works

she will get a check for the last appraised value of the house, from the looks of it that could be under $30k

still coming out great on her end, but dealing with building a house today means it costs $150k to rebuild that $30k house

Did you read the article you posted a link to ? It says the structure was boarded up and vacant for fifteen years.

Should it have been razed? No.

The head line and article reads as if she came home ( residence ) and it was all knocked down.

I hope the woman gets paid three times what it was worth. And the “ journalist “ gets fired. Neither will happen.

Not to be rude, but how does someone living in a shack afford to go on vacation?
