Woman killed in carjacking in Mid-City after being dragged several blocks, witness says

A woman was killed after she was dragged from a moving vehicle during a carjacking in Mid-City on Monday afternoon, according to a witness.
New Orleans police reported the woman was killed around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bienville Street and North Cortez street. Police did not initially say how the woman was killed.
But a man who witnessed the carjacking unfold said he saw two carjackers drag the woman down Bienville Street from North Scott Street to Carrollton Avenue.
The woman was hanging out of an open car door, said the witness, who asked to not use his name.

That's a really nice, busy area. really close to Bevi Seafood, a Rouse's, and only maybe a block or two off Carrollton. Heavily trafficked in broad daylight.
