Guess you and I are just different.
We are indeed. I can put myself into the mindset of both the driver and the officer, you seem to be limited to not looking at it beyond the lens of a paid protestor.

This is a long thread. So, likely mentioned but, this woman was a single mother with a 6 year old son and she chose to travel to Minnesota to participate in this activity. And now the boy is an orphan because his father died in 2023?

Ashley wasn't a threat, that was murder

Not going to blame an agent for a making judgment call where he feared something may happen to him, esp with all th hostile rhetoric being thrown at ICE agents.
Everything stops when that woman decided to interfere with a federal investigation and harass agents. Had she chose not to be an anarchist she’d still be alive today. She is the SOLE reason this all went down. The agent is not at fault and anyone blaming the agent is just deflecting from the loon that started the whole thing.

That she wasn’t impeding them or their work in that clip
Well they certainly seemed to think so which is why they told her to get out.

Which means there is a possibility that they didn’t have any legal recourse to swarm her vehicle and try to open her car door**
That isn’t for her to decide.

"Dead liberals, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of dead liberals in the morning. It smells like victoiry."

And there are eyewitnesses who say they heard one officer yell “move, move, move.” I mean I think the simplest explanation regardless, was she was probably scared and wanted out of there, because that would be a normal human reaction. Most people aren’t tying to run people over, especially if they have gun. Those who do, usually have a history of violence and criminality.
Is she a traffic director? What’s your point?

Maybe don’t get in that situation first?
Maybe?
Maybe?

Then why was she parked on the street like that? And why was her wife outside of the car filming? To get video of her sitting in the van, doing absolutely nothing of interest?

Again this all could’ve been avoided had she not injected herself and interfered with federal agents doing their job. The blame is solely on her.
Which means the left will blame anyone but her.

Why would she wave on someone she was trying to impede?

Anyone else notice the ICE cars don’t look like govt motor pool vehicles? Are they intentionally getting non spec cars to not draw attention or are they just paying these guys vehicle allowances or mileage or something?
Uhh...yeah. Just like narcotic detectives who drive around in regular cars. That's the whole point is to blend in.

The video though shows an ICE agent telling her to get out of the car and another one trying to open the door.

My instinct wouldn’t be to pull a gun and kill someone who lightly pressed a gas pedal, accelerating at the break neck speed of 2 MPH
You say your 'instinct' however have you ever been in that exact situation?
Let me guess if you were ever held at gunpoint your 'instinct' would be to karate chop the guy with the gun.

Looked like she was trying to move when the clip starts and that other car cuts in front of her quickly
I’m not saying she wasn’t protesting or filming or agitating. I’m saying that we don’t see her actually impede anyone in that video.
I’m not a “block traffic” expert but I don’t think you casually wave cars around when you are trying to form a blockade
Now if there is an hour of footage before this that shows her constantly blocking the agents with her car then sure. Doesn’t justify a point blank kill shot but it explains how the situation we see got started.

I agree that she freaked out and was trying to get out of there, but that’s after she deliberately blocked them, and it doesn’t matter anyway. All that matters is whether a reasonable person could have concluded she was threatening them with the car.
In this case, it’s clear as day that the officer can reasonably claim he feared she was about to run over him.
I have always hated and railed against situations like overzealous SWAT raids or something where LEOs create a life or death situation and then use that “deadly threat” to justify killing people who otherwise wouldn’t have threatened them. That’s NOT what happened here. She drove around looking to engage with and interfere with them antagonistically. That is entirely on her.
