True, but it has been proven that there are quite a few "psychopaths" doing just that on social media. The archetype being Amanda Riley. Dopamine is a helluva drug and we need to keep in mind that if you seek out rage bait, it is equally for the dopamine hit. Not the OP, but we have a long list of posters here that only make threads about things that are rage bait for them. There are millions of wanna-be insta-famous people posting intentional rage bait, whether from whole cloth or hyperbolic accounts of reality, just to drive engagement. There is much of SM that is nothing but no-budget episodes of Jerry Springer 24-7 and most of it has the same level of veracity.

I was thinking about this same subject lately and it's bothering me as well. It's been rampant in the psychobabble world but seems to mainstream now. The rising inflection at the end of a statement, usually coupled with emotional words or phrases is like the new age recipe to make something sound thought provoking or profound.

He chose poorly. My wife takes care of the house and I’ll chip in to help occasionally. She stayed home with the kids while they were school age and I brought home the bacon. Kid stuff is together. It’s the 1950’s in my house and it works well. That’s the way it should be.

Apparently she has a full time nanny and housekeeper and also... the OTs favorite..... she works from home... and was complaining about her being late for work for unloading the dishwasher right in the morning exactly when she wanted it done.
