They should move the scale to the bottom so the fatties don’t have to climb to the top and inadvertently burn calories.

Let them get on it and if their weight is a factor of them shooting/flying off then it's on them.

If she felt shame in saying her weight she should use that as motivation to better herself and get healthy.
Will she? Almost certainly not.

It’s shite like this and the fear of it that killed that teenager in Orlando.
If you are too light your arse may not hold the raft down. If you are too heavy you may have too much inertia. Sling your arse over the top of that stop ramp.
SOOO to not offend anyone, you need to weigh everyone. The park could (maybe they do) have a sign at the bottom stating the rules and that you will be weighed before getting on.
They could play the guy in Orlando falling a couple hundred feet to his death on a video loop. With the sound at the end turned up. So you hear the impact.

I am 6 months away from being 70 and they still will ask to see my ID if buying alcohol. Ridiculous maybe, but they have to follow policy

Never understood why having so say your weight is an issue. It’s pretty clear if you are fat or not by looking at you. The number doesn’t change how you look.
Women aren’t rational. Most of them think wearing “cute clothes” will make them look good even though they weigh as much as a defensive tackle

I heard they do this to “everyone” and it is clearly a safety screening issue
They 100% do, from little kids to adults. There's both a minimum and maximum weight. You either fall between the two or you don't ride.

I’m confused. She’s not remotely close to 300
That's a combined weight maximum for groups riding together. So they don't take chances, there's a giant scale and everyone in the group gets on it. This chick is lying her arse off.
