Guy is naive, women are count, especially the 35 and unders.
You can't offer help, do anything for them, with out them being count.
Have to realize, in todays world, women are count and you should steer as clear from them as you can.

My last lyft driver was a semi crazy woman. Was leaving a place at about 11am, I had walked there but it had gotten colder and started raining. I get in the car and say the pleasantries of "hello", "how are you?", talk about the weather. Shes white, not in shape, not out of shape. Tells me shes 39, and I'd rate OT 3. IRL 4.8
I'm sitting up front in the passenger seat, I talk about how cold it is and she grabs my hand with hers to show me how cold her fingers feel, and not just for a second or two..she kinda made that awkward. She then takes over the conversation about how she recently left her controlling ex, how shes lonely at night and how her kid is smart and has skipped some grades but now is acting out and beating up on other students.
As a guy, I just sat back and was like "whatever, I can entertain the conversation it's only a 10 minute drive including lights". But when I try to imagine from a female perspective, had it been a guy trying to make physical contact and basically complaint about intimacy and needing an escape..the world seems more terrifying in situations as simple as that. And if you were being dropped off at home like I was, them knowing the area you live. Etc.

Jesus.. How about just say "I appreciate it, but no thank you".
I know you can never be too careful and that does kind of suck for people whose intentions are genuine. But the guy told her he and his wife uses it.. Which doesn't mean he isn't trying to do anything to her.. But don't put the man on blast unless you are 100% sure.
Just because people have to be safe doesn't mean they should destroy someone on social media because they wasn't sure if someone was trying to do something sinister.

I don't fully disagree with you but that seems a bit harsh. He's a old head and not in tune with the shite going on in the world. She took it way too far IMO, and gives me the impression that she was looking for attention and to be a victim.
Which is why she didn't respond to the media trying to contact her. They could've easily met up and he apologize through facilitation by the media.
