I mean really, when are we going to just ignore the 5-10% of nut jobs on the far left and far right?
Do you understand how fricking frustrating it is when I say I'm center-left and get automatically tossed in with the SJW, radical left who I actually disdain? What about y'all on the right? The "nut jobs" on the right are irrelevant. They have no voice, no influence, increasingly fewer rights - they're boxed in.
The "nut jobs" on the left are in Congress, running things, chairing committees, making policy for you, me, our children and grandchildren. I would say they're educating our children, but they've been doing that for over a generation, so that's not new. Them being solidly in positions of influence in the Democrat party is.

Can you define that for me? Evolutionary psychology isn't well-regarded at all, for what it is worth, because primarily it has no mechanisms with which to prove some of its claims. Admittedly, I haven't read much of it, but I find it would be difficult to justify psychological claims by virtue of robustness alone. I don't know if that mathematical objection has been raised before, though.
Nonetheless, the link you provided doesn't entirely represents the full debate about the prevalence of intersex disorders, because he is focused on a karyotypic or genetic distinction, while ignoring some key embryological distinctions. Firstly, the development of sex organs, and the development of the brain are entirely distinct. Secondly, we know from Disorders of Sex Development that what amounts to the pathophysiological process for someone with 46 XX CAH is going to be the same as a person with no known karyotypic or genetic mutation, who still nonetheless presents as intersex. In this sense, you will have a disorder which will present like a Disorder of Sex Development, but without a genotypic or karyotypic cause. That is the basis of the intersex estimate. The author doesn't explain it very well, instead relying on Sax, linking an incredibly old refutation.

On the flip-side of what pretty much everyone is saying here is that I think it makes people nervous when Joe-Bob from the country store who thinks higher education is a joke starts talking about how everyone is pussies now and there needs to be natural selection. You want to have a conversation about natural selection and evolution within the human race? Sure that's fine. But first acknowledge that big brain, higher education people took over the world a long time ago. You are just living in a world they created, affected by science that you probably can't even begin to understand in just about every facet of your life. Bombs big enough to level your entire city could rain down on you and you probably haven't the slightest clue how they work. Sorry Joe-Bob, no chance in hell that you are the arbitor of natural selection. You are just a psychopath with dreams of killing people that you are trying to rationalize.

The blank slate is a wonderful hypothesis because it appeals to our desires for fairness and equality. But it's ethical perfection is unfortunately contradicted by it's intellectual emptiness. You can't ignore the importance of nature any more than you can ignore the importance of nurture and chance.
There is an enormous problem in pretty much all of the major American colleges and universities. The role of those institutions is not to indoctrinate.
Why? Because we don't know what the truth (in politics, economics, science, and even ethics) is in many cases and young minds would benefit from less indoctrination and more teaching of humility. Introducing complexity and contradictory information that better resembles the real world would be a great improvement over political (liberal or conservative) indoctrination.
