A bold Christian voice challenges progressives to confront the one racial disparity they have ignored for decades: the breakdown of the black family.

Today, 70 percent of black children are born to unmarried parents and close to half grow up without a father at home. Both figures are significantly higher than the national average. Yet progressives–especially black leaders in the church, politics, academia, and the media–are silent. In The Vanishing Black Family, Delano Squires confronts racial justice advocates with the question they can no longer avoid: how can you dismiss the collapse of marriage and decline in two-parent homes that is widening the gaps in income, education, and incarceration you claim to care about?

Deeply researched and unafraid to tell hard truths, this book traces black family life from American chattel slavery to the present. Its most uncomfortable revelation is that most black children are no longer born to — and raised by — married parents because of welfare policies and feminist activism in the 1960s. But Squires is not content to complain about the problem. He calls for a new civil rights movement led by black pastors, HBCUs, and other key institutions to ensure more children grow up in a loving home with a married mother and father. Anticipating inevitable challenges, he prepares marriage advocates for opposition from progressives who reject family revival for ideological reasons.

True. But you don't get to execute people for stealing diapers.

We'll have to wait for footage but in general if you have time to shoot to avoid being run over, then you have time to move out of the way. Especially since the officer wasn't ever struck and the driver wasn't shot.

Did the police know there was a baby in the car?

If so, maybe the police should not have shot into the car.
It is easy to play Monday morning QB , he had seconds to decide

At the same time 100% of the blame is on mom who put her child in that situation.

The diaper theft part is irrelevant on the mother even if it was paid for or shoplifting. Sounds like the cops received a report they were stolen and headed that way. Why would that many cops show up at a shop lifting call anyway?

If you move to 1:24:50 there's a lot of similar circumstances in this case in Arkansas. The family of the deceased sued the police and the store and the police were dismissed from the suit .

When people run from the police or drive aggressively toward police unfortunately this stuff happens. The Renee Goode and Charles Starks cases illustrate that.

More of your imaginings.

Try just waiting for actual facts to come out before taxing your poor brain any further.

I’m not at all saying that what the diaper thieves did was right and maybe they did exhibit a reckless disregard for life, but I do believe that the officers intentionally created that situation. Maybe we’ll see one day and I’ll be proven wrong.

I am not a back the blue no matter what type of guy, but you know what I do believe? No cop wakes up wanting to get in a shoot out in a Wal Mart parking lot and kill a baby. I am 100% certain of that.

The only person who could have 100% put an end to this scenario was the mother. As she was running across the parking lot with a baby in her arms, she could have just thought, "This is not worth it. I need to just stop." She did not, and now her baby is dead and I HOPE THEY FRY HER IGNORANT arse!

Absolutely, but getting shot should not be a consequence of stealing

Why do you tards always frame shite like this?

She wasn’t shot for stealing. She was shot because she drove her car at a cop with her baby in the front seat.

You morons didn’t seem to learn from the incident in Minneapolis. Don’t drive at a frickin cop.

Eta: wait that is the mother of the dead baby! Not a tear in the eye. Holy shite. I thought the mother got shot. This woman held her child up as a shield. Lock this bonnet bitch up.

I wonder why her husband didn’t go purchase the diapers for his child.
