Go back to your cube (or rented apartment) and count beans (or your paltry $13k in savings). You really are naive and poor.

You have no idea what I do. The old adage 'you can't be promoted if you can't be replaced' haunts me every day.

Base is higher, beyond that is debatable.

Yeah, and they deliver my packages too. Doesn't mean I agree with the labor structure. Was that supposed to be some sick burn or something?

Nothing says unions are great better than Detroit, public service employees, educators, and the steel industry.

Unions fricking suck if you have any desire to move up the ladder. In my experience, the loafers are rewarded as much as the ambitious

Unions are good if you have few skills and only plan on doing the minimum required work.

Was a comment to reflect that everyone exist as some sort of union. It may not be official, but separating yourself off 10% difference in pay to someone in your same position is comical.

Think about it.

I don't even know what you're trying to say.

There are some downsides to not being union, the main is not having a free 'day in court'

, how can you say/feel this after what you've argued for the past few pages?

As they should be. They're supposed to look out for the good of the most individuals in the group. That quite obviously is counterproductive to the upper echelon worker.

That same technology distracts workers as much as it helps with productivity. Walk around your place of work and see how many you can find playing games, watching Netflix, or on social media with a cell phone in their hand.

It creates a very stagnant working environment.

Unions are ideal for people who cannot do well on merit

You already said you were good. You didn't want to worry about having to actually challenge your opinion.

I'll just say, that for all the negatives that a union has, and there are plenty, they are definitley still needed.

FYI, can't wait for the upcoming nationl union negotiations in February. Always makes for a good melt thread.

So he wants to hear you out and take your arguments on their merit and you have nothing to say?
