The awards are totally inappropriate if they were given out at some ceremony attended by others, but it wasn't,so who gives 2 shits. I guess the kid who did not get the participation trophy went crying to mom. The saddest part of this story is the parents went to the ACLU. Can no one go to a moderator or administrator and have a damn discussion anymore? ACLU? Exactly what civil liberties were infringed on? Can we please have a purge soon?!?!?!?!

This has nothing on the senior suprilatives at my HS which were downright brutal in some cases.

Yeah if this were some inner circle thing of inside jokes, that's one thing. Kind of messed up for that to be out in the open in front of a bunch of other people... that said, taking it to the ACLU is still a stretch.

when I was at LSU there were a couple of twins, very pretty girls that were sort of famous for their humongous boobs, whatever that annual talent show was called, it was emceed by a local weather forecaster, Pat Shingleton? he devoted a few minutes of his opening monologue to those girls and their breasts, even gave them some kind of award, iirc, girls didn't like it but he apologized I think, and that was good enough for them, they both got reduction surgery over the summer
