Does BR even have salt for situations like that?
DOTD has sand and salt enough to keep major roads open. Except i10 at the bridge.
If the poured everything they had into the bridge, they might be able to keep it open. But it's doubtful.

Yeah the HRRR shows the surface warming maybe 1 degree by noon when the precip ends. But the rest of the column stays the same and remains below freezing.

Another trick is windshield de icer mixed with some water, put that in a pump sprayer and spray your walkways after you blow the snow off with a leaf blower.

Well at least most folks won't be missing that one lane at the bridge

Improbably, the bridge has light traffic and moving smoothly right now.

Finally some flakes in Houma. I'm pissed that I live in Prairieville yet I've been trying to fly offshore/stuck in Houma since Wednesday. Fml.

don't see rain being a possibility. It's only going to get colder. If there is going to be precipitation, it's going to be snow where it's snowed already.
You here anything about the bridges that cross the Amite?????

Looks like anything heavy will be moving off to the east soon.

LL, your pictures win. I would never have believed that's a pic in S. La. Where exactly were those taken?

So when's the snow going to turn into rain in BR slackster?

No, but the freeze isn't supposed to start setting in until 6PM or so.
I'd recommend being where you want to be for the night by that time.

I don't think we're in Louisiana anymore, T-boy!

I can't believe it's that cold in BR.

That’s in Central. In Willowwood Acres on the corner of Gurney and Blackwater.

LSU capmpus is great right now. Especially parade grounds. People building snowmen and having snowball fights

I don't really think it will. This is the radar forecast through 5PM.

We are getting pretty good snow here in Prairieville.
