The news is actually downplaying it while their graphics on fb show snow for 4-5 hours.

dk why the news is downplaying it all the major outlets NWS included are ramped up compared to yesterday.

10 inches of snow for every liquid inch of precipitation. If it were warmer and rained 1 inch, that would translate to 10 inches of snow.

I was in New Orleans back in 89 around Christmas (forget the exact date) and it started snowing. People panicked and didn’t know what to do. Took me 8 hours to get from NO back to BR.

Thanks. So snow occupies 10 inches whereas the more compact rain would occupy only an inch.

WBRZ still insisting that nothing is happening and only mentioning a possible mix north of our area.

Not saying they will be wrong but I don't recall a time when everyone was ignoring ALL major models less than 24 hours before an event is supposed to happen.

We are officially under a Winter Weather Advisory so it seems irresponsible to ignore that.
