That was my senior year at LSU. I missed my finals that morning because I could not get up the hill leaving the neighborhood. I was so mad that LSU didnt send out anything and just hoped everyone showed up for finals despite most roads being closed, along with the bridge and parts of interstate.

But we had so much fun playing in it! The snow was really beautiful. I really hope it snows for my four year old son. Every time it gets cold he asks if it's going to snow, and asks to build a snowman. I fear he will be disappointed, but even some flurries would make him ecstatic.

A high chance of Nick Saban getting whatever he wants. Go ask him.

If it does snow, this will be the earliest snowfall on record in the area. I think the Dec 11th or 12th snowfall back in 2008 was the previous record.

12-4-2009 snowed a lot in br had an inch or so on ground during hs games that night.

That's right. I forgot the record was broken the very next year. I think I was driving to Beaumont and the snow on the way was absolutely insane. Never seen it snow so hard, it was actually sticking to the interstate and I had to try and follow the tracks in front of me. I white knuckled it the whole way.

Haven't look at the models but that would be odd, because it would be resulting from a southernly flow off the lake. Which is about the opposite of how it normally works. Cold arse dry air blows over a non frozen lake, picks up the moisture and then gets a little lift from the land and boom. Feet.

Yeah I meant it sarcastically, should have clarified.

I thought you might have slack, but I'd rather clarify in these threads.

I know LSU wasn't cancelled, b/c I had a final that day, and I didn't go, well I couldn't go b/c you couldn't drive anywhere.

I had a final that day and drove to campus and took it. It was an epic drive.

That was a big accumulation of snow. It had to be one of the biggest ones for BR. And it was pretty early for that being early December.

Does anyone recall what the forecast called for before the big '08 snow? I don't think it called for much but ended up getting 6" in Madisonville.

You never know.

Is Lafayette projected to get any of this potential snow? Seems everyone is talking about BR and to the east :(
