Why wouldn’t I? The food is good. That’s all that matters. I understand they wanted to modernize but saw that literally nobody liked it, and said they were going back to the way things were. No issue.

Although I’m happy to hear some people might stop going because I hate having to wait on the weekends.

Yes.
I like their breakfast.

I mean, those initiatives were in place long before the branding refresh or even the current CEO's tenure.

I have eaten there once in my life...on the way to a Florida beach trip 12 years ago...I would prefer Chick fil a if I am going to eat on the road...
I would definitely not go there now with the new change if given the option...

I know they changed their sign which made it bland and altered the decorating but there has to be way more to the story than that, right? They change the pegs on that table game to little dicks or something?
I cant speak for the parent poster, but if a company is stupid enough to insult the customer base, especially their core customers, then you damn sure should not give them your money.

i quit going there after a visit in 2007 when they almost killed me with food poison because of improperly handled chicken. frick that place. I was shitting on toilet and throwing up in tub at the same time. Felt like i was dying. I hope they go out of business.

JoePa was still alive the last time I ate there and it was bad. I'd rather have waffle house for anytime breakfast since it is about the same quality, cheaper, and faster. The lunch and dinner is bland garbage.
Only remember the JoePa thing because the diddling scandal was just breaking.
I can't actually think of one major sit down chain I wouldn't pick over cracker barrel, never realized what a hater I was until this started making the rounds.

Absolutely…my issue with it was that the quality of the food and the waitstaff had gone downhill badly. If. They get these things fixed, I will gladly stsrt eating there again.
That said, I do not expect that to get fixed…they will continue to go downhill until they all close,

I stopped going years ago after I had to smell a bum walking around inside, waited way too long for a table and then the food was shite.

I now live in a city with a good supply of meat n' 3s. Prior to that I was kind of stuck with CB if I wanted some down home cooking like turnip greens, black eyed peas, fried okra, country ham, sweet potato casserole, blackberry cobbler, etc.. I did notice their quality took a dive in the past decade, but beggars couldn't be choosers.
I still like their breakfast but I've just figured out that it's just a lot easier and cheaper to cook at home when you want a full breakfast.

We went a while back for breakfast and it was obvious the food we ordered was reheated from the night before.

I could have a major woodshop accident and still count on one hand the number of times I ate at a Cracker Barrel in 54 years of living. So probably not.

In CB’s case, it was the intent and attempt to completely change the identity of a brand that people loved, wiping away the whole rural cafe feel and replacing it with a hipster-influenced decor. In short they tried to turn Cracker Barrel into Crate and Barrel. There was also the whole pride nonsense where they painted their rocking chairs in rainbow flag schemes. Again, for frick sakes, know your customer base.

I went back today. They listened to their customers and admitted they were wrong. Come on...

Never found their food to be that good.
How do you eff up biscuits?
