No, see, once every few years, we have no hurricanes at all.

I just spent a fortune getting 8 or so big oaks cut down. The guys are finishing up as we speak. I learned my lesson with Hurricane Sally. At least if one does hit, I won't have to worry about a tree coming down on top of me again. That was scary.

It's not humor for many of those who responded, they are serious. Besides, it's tired humor.

They can stretch it out for drama on the weather channel but hurricane season runs from August 15 till October 15, the rest is really tropical storm season.

No.

Give me a physical explanation of why it "works" and I'll reconsider.

Lol, I can explain respiratory protection requirements to you but certainly not how the LRC works. I saw it mentioned on some weather boards that referenced a FOX8 podcast with Lezak.

It's probably got one more push before it starts subsiding, hence the uptick in potential. It's seasonal just like everything else. This is what it does almost every single year.

WTF is wrong with you people? If a hurricane hits S LA this year - strong enough to cause a lot of damage - we are done. Adios. Turn off the lights. No one will rebuild.

I mean I don’t want one to hit. Y’all are overly sensitive

I was just pointing out it’s a quiet year so far. Which is a great thing

Its the start of August. Be careful making too much of this quiet period, but we are looking more "a little above average" vs "hyperactive" of the last two years at this point.

True but the models aren’t even showing anything close to developing for 2 weeks. If that holds, you’re getting to end of august with no activity which would be significant
