She hated New Orleans so much that she moved to a shittier city with the same crime and none of the good parts?

No. I live on the outskirts on New Orleans and work in the CBD. I walked from the CBD to the Quarter on NYE afternoon and the GA/ND crowd seemed happy as hell. I was happy for my city.

I have been, and will continue to spend less time downtown and the quarter late at night. It doesn't seem as safe as when I was young and drunk down there.

Mardi gras is hell on earth for me. Even when I had a condo in WHD I was just not a fan.

Absolutely- I enjoy my time in the city but like others said I’m more concerned about where I park my truck than this.

It does not appear this is the “fault” of NOLA

Could happen in any city.

Are you going to avoid going to any city?

I was in New Orleans a week before the attack and the week before that. I always try to minimize the chance of a negative encounter. In New York I always kept my back against the wall until the doors opened. It sucks we have to live this way but it is what it is.

Not at all. That shite could happen anywhere. I won't let one POS terrorize my life. I don't blame others that won't but, nah FTPOS.

No.

But it will definitely keep me from going to Houston and the entire state of Texas, where this muslim terrorist a-hole was from.

It’s the next 2 works days and being in the crosshairs of the mess. I work in the city, but don’t have a desire to do things there. I would though if something came up.

I get this...I don't work there and don't and never have wanted to live there, but as I said, there are still places and people I still love to see there and things I still love to do there. And I still manage go enjoy myself when I go. I go maybe 3 times a year and will continue to, I feel like I have a good feel for when, where and how and have never had issues.l

This attack will not and should not keep anyone from living their lives. It’s extremely frustrating that it happened but if people want to commit evil things they will find a way no matter what.

Don’t let them win

I'll be riding Endymion along with Lithium and my stepson...

I don't go down Bourbon much anymore, or even to the Quarter as well...lots of other things to do

Unless violence starts to escalate unmitigated in broad daylight, no.

I only go there during daylight hours or atleast not past 10pm.

New Orleans was already off my list. Spent plenty of time there in the 80's and 90's.

I've only been to NOLA a few times, but none of those have been for any large events. We came down there for a long weekend for our anniversary one year, and had a great time. Late spring time, nothing major going on, enjoyed the restaurants and French Quarter for a few days. I wouldn't go for New Year's, Mardi Gras, a bowl game or Super Bowl, but outside of that, I wouldn't avoid it. Cities always have some element of danger to them, you just have to not be an idiot. 3 AM in the French Quarter, or any busy downtown area of any major city, is not a wise decision.

We were going down today for dinner but cancelled. Will return once the chaos subsides.
