No. As much as I ragged and took a dump on NOLA, it is my home. The city is very resilient and can regroup. IMO, people are pissed, more than anything.

This event won’t stop me from going. But, I go only for business as necessary and to the airport. I drive down for LSU sports if it happens in the city and leave immediately afterwards. I have zero interest in going there for any other reason.

No. I decided a decade ago I was never going there again.

Siri will probably be safer than ever the next six months so now maybe the time to go

Nope, I’ll be there on Monday evening for Twelfth Night celebrations.

IF it had happened 10 years ago, it would have been an excuse for me. I already don't go to NOLA unless I have to meet with someone for business.
Posted on 1/1/25 at 5:54 pm to Yaboylsu63
I would go if I had something I wanted to see or do there.

For Mardi Gras, no, but I don’t go to NOLA for that anymore, but, I sure as hell ain’t missing JazzFest. If “Teedy” won’t keep me away, I doubt terrorist will either…

I hate the city of New Orleans, but I hate Terrorists even more. I’m likely gonna end up going to the sugar bowl tomorrow purely in defiance.
My mother-in-law is a Bech, Wife is cousins with Brett, Blaine, Jack and Tiger so this one is hitting the family pretty hard.

Absolutely not.
The traffic cameras, abundant crime, scammers, overpriced Sysco food and foul odor will keep me away for the foreseeable future. In fact, it has kept me away for the last decade.
Any time I hear of someone thinking of taking a trip to nola, I do my best to dissuade them.

The mayor and police chief are incompetent.

Too random an event to sway me. That said, I already avoid New Orleans, especially the FQ for other, obvious reasons.

Bro, the question was on if this would keep me from going to NOLA. Madisonville is not Nola. And living is Madisonville is not anywhere on the same spectrum as living in NOLA
