at the time of his arrest LEO/DA types in both parishes were pretty clear that thought they had substantial, voluminous evidence of heinous activity on hayden's part. not many details released but thats how it was described in the press
then, stephanie went on dr phil, and her story was creepy but not exactly as heinous as it was described. now, he's been in the clink since his arrest, is out of money (thats why the PD and not private attorneys), has lost everything, and we've not heard anything more about the evidence against him
clearly he is a creep...nobody who knows him disputes that in any way. and he might be a pedophile specializing in incest. if he is, he'll get whats coming. i do feel like though he had a LOT of enemies, and those enemies have motives

I kind of feel like that's standard procedure for arrests that are expected to receive more attention in the media. Posturing so that they don't get crucified before they ever present the case.
I haven't seen the dr Phil thing, but I guess I should look at that.
I don't know them or know anyone that does, so I won't presume anything about the character of the people involved, but I remember thinking at the time that it was kind of sketchy to have the main witness be so compromised, and then I didn't really ever hear anything more about it.

All the people that were defending him initially and now it comes out it was his assistant who saw everything. Mind you this lady lost her job to give this guy up. Not like she had motive to lie about him. That is about as damning as testimony can get.

The state doesn't need hard proof to take anyone to trial on charges like this. All the need is the word of one and that's all.

The assistant saying she walked in and saw the act isn't hearsay. It's direct witness testimony
